Table Activity

At this age, children are beginning to prepare for school. We provide a structured learning environment using the HighReach Learning curriculum.  Our classrooms are divided into five areas: Language, Imaginative Play, Science, Block Area and Manipulative Area. Your child can choose which area they want to explore. We also have a computer lab for children and a large playground area.

During a child’s preschool years, vocabulary, coordination, intellectual thinking and social skills are being developed. At this time, children are excited about learning and discovering new doorways to knowledge. Our  caregivers are trained to provide the appropriate environment to help build the confidence preschoolers need to make decisions, develop talents and build self-esteem.

Green Hill’s computers and software programs are specifically selected to appeal to different age groups.  We promote learning and fun through computer opportunities for preschool children everyday.

Preschool Growth and Development

HighReach Learning's curriculum programs are based on a whole-child philosophy.  The materials address all aspects of development: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. HighReach emphasizes a blend of teacher-facilitated and child-initiated activities.

The Framework curriculum focuses on a wide range of readiness skills. Through a flexible design that balances child-exploration and teacher-facilitated learning, suggested activity ideas can easily be adapted for individualized learning. Unique features include:

§         Alignment with the Head Start Performance Standards

§         Integrated ongoing assessment

§          Strategies for children of different ages and abilities

Daily Communication

At the end of each day you will be given a written report that will give you a look into your child’s day. This informative daily document provides observations of a caring and educational nature.

Daily Learning Opportunities

Green Hill provides daily, theme related activities designed to promote your child’s understanding of the world around them in several areas.
